From the experience of the "Critical State" residence, coordinated by Ela Bittencourt and Victor Guimarães, in which young essayists write about the films in competition, Once upon a time Brasília from Adirley Queiroz (best film for the young jury and popular jury), They still Burn, from Felice Dàgostino and Arturo Lovato, Tremor, from Anik Leroy (best feature film of the official jury), Mariana, from Chris Gude and Tierra Sola, from Tiziana Panizza. The dossier brings also articles on short films of the competition, and on films from Lee Anne Schmitt and Stephen Broomer, artists whose works were shown at Filmmakers in Fronteer section.
